The design of the book is deliberately simple to allow the photos to be the main focus. I created an abstract cat pattern for the inner cover, from simple shapes which come together to form a cat-like imprint.

A rough script was chosen for the title and headings to mimick a 'cat scratch' and paired with a simple sans-serif. The contents page was inspired by a paw print, in terms of the layout and spacing.

The photographs were grouped according to the cat poses and carefully paired to complement each other. The margin around each page allows the photos to take center stage with some space to breathe.
