Work Work About About Work About Work About The Stamp Collection Illustration | Personal Project 2020 – Present The Stamp Collection is a series of celebratory illustrated prints created to celebrate my loved ones during the 2020 pandemic. Each one was illustrated, printed and framed and sent to the recipient to celebrate them, even though I couldn’t be there. I’ve continued to add to the series each year. The design and layout of the prints were inspired by my love of stamps. The numbers in the corners, signify the age each person was turning. More about Gideon Written by Tolani Higo, the idea was to present the stories in a way that would be easy, relatable and fun for children to understand. The illustration style I chose is simple but effective, made from bold shapes and coloured vibrantly. The aim was to convey the emotion of the story and personality of the characters, through beautifully illustrated key scenes and moments in each story. I suggested the inclusion of a coloring page, to make the books interactive. The layout and illustrations were also adapted for Kindle. In my role as art director, I created designs for use across the magazine’s various platforms, from social media and the website to the quarterly print magazine – The Republic Journal. More about The Republic Each magazine cover was inspired by the theme of the issue and was carefully designed not only to be aesthetically pleasing and draw readers in, but also to be symbolic. First Draft is The Republic’s interview column, where writers answer questions and share their thoughts about their process, inspiration and their work. I illustrated portraits of numerous writers, to accompany their interviews which featured on social media as well as in the weekly newsletter and on the website. Work Work About About Work About Work About Marshmallow County Illustration | Packaging Studio: Anoela Print 2020 Marshmallow County is an event concept created by Atinudah Concepts for a bridal shower. As part of the Stepford Wives themed shower, we were given a brief to create a range of party favour boxes for each guest – inspired by 1950s housewives and product ads. More about Marshmallow County The Atinuda Concepts team provided the product names and descriptions and assigned them to each guest, but the creative direction and execution was left entirely up to us. First, I created a logo for Marshmallow County to be used on the packaging to give them an authentic feel as if they were products from a real brand. The colour palette and typefaces were chosen to match the retro theme and each guest was illustrated as a character to match the products and complete the packaging. A slight grainy texture was also applied to give an overall vintage look.
